FPC offers Foundations of Kayaking, Swiftwater Rescue, Foundations of Kayaking, Step Up Clinics, and individual beginner, intermediate and advanced level clinics as well as youth-specific clinics. There are plenty of opportunities for you get instruction from certified ACA instructors as a member of Foothills Padling Club.

Foundations Core Kayaking 100 Introduction: Gear

This is the introductory clinic for the Foundations Core Program. It is a 1 hour virtual session focused on all of the ins and outs of essential river kayaking gear and essentials. Before getting on the water, you need to make sure that you have everything you will need to garner success in the Foundations Core program. We will discuss all of the following: boats, paddles, PFDs, throw ropes, floatation, first aid, clothing, splash & dry gear, footwear, extras. We will also cover some basic logistics such as loading a kayak onto a car rack.
